a clone of the discontinued EQD warden. Internally boosted to 18v optical compression unit.
CONTROL LAYOUT
top row (left to right)
A- Attack. Controls the sensitivity of compression activation. CCW is more sensitive, CW is less sensitive.
R- Ratio. Controls the clean, uncompressed signal to compressed signal ratio.
R- Release. Controls how long the compression is held for. Seems to also control the circuit sensitivity. CW, the compression is held longer, but feels less dynamic and a bit more sluggish. CCW, the circuit feels snappier.
bottom row (left to right)
S- misnamed. It actually is L- Level. Sets the volume of the circuit.
T-tone. Middle is neutral, cw is bright, ccw is dark.
L-misnamed. It actually is S- Sustain. Controls the compression gain.
Overall, this circuit is unique due to its optical nature. It is not as overbearing and squashy as many other compression circuits. Works quite nice as a tone pop/clean boost.
