MOSFET based boost circuit- has its own unique flavor compared to the other types of boost circuits.
To my ears, it seems like it has a bit more juice and headroom, and serves great as an extra channel of gain/dirt anywhere in a signal chain.
Using it before any other dirt pedal is a great way to get more saturation and girth out of it, and adding this post any other dirt pedal can serve as a volume/headroom/amplitude boost, working great to push your amp into oblivion or as a lead boost.
