This is an absolutely Glassy yet warm, versatile sounding overdrive. Its based on the 3rd Version of the Timmy Overdrive, but slightly modified. It sounds absolutely amazing, and the seperate bass and tone controls make all the difference when it comes to tone shaping this drive.
Personally, I normally keep the treble control all the way up and the bass all the way down for glassier sounds, and cut treble and add bass when fuller, fatter and higher gain tones are needed.
The two switches are also perfect for getting some different flavors out of this circuit, the top switch allows more gain into the circuit and serves as a grit control, allowing a cleaner overdrive mode or a more aggressive, saturated distortion. The bottom switch allows for either compressed, open, or stock clipping.
This pedal can run at 9-18v. 18v will allow for higher headroom, meaning less clipping/saturation and more open, clean glass. 18v is better in my opinion, it makes the op amps perform much better and has a 3D quality to it.
