still, developing this further. I thought the v2 would be the final version, but I need to make some small changes. Sound wise, it is on par with the final version. But I am not a fan of how close the knobs sit to the foot switches. So if you buy this, be mindful of where ya stomp.
offering this at a massive discount. These will be $249-$279 when finished
Before I started building pedals, my favorite dirt pedal, was the EQD Palisades.
Still do this day, it holds a special place in my heart.
Even though it is almost perfect, this is my ideal version of it.
So lets start with explaining the controls.
V1
The right foot switch activates the overdrive- tube screamer based, with 8 different clipping modes, that have their own dynamic, volume, and texture characteristics.
8 band frequency controls- for choked, glassy treble pass tones, to full range, not too bass or treble heavy, all the way to bass boosted, fuzzy drive.
the crunch switch allows you to get a fuzz distortion texture out of the OD for heavier saturation and sustain.
The Middle foot switch toggles between a passive style fender amp tone control, or an active 3 band HM2 style tone control. Instantly change between two sets of frequencies.
Each mode has its own unique voice as well, with the passive eq sounding more natural and "vintage" and the active eq being more powerful and modern.
the left foot switch controls a high headroom, high fidelity clean boost. I like this circuit better than the boost in the OG Palisades.
V2
The right foot switch activates the overdrive- tube screamer based, with 8 different clipping modes, that have their own dynamic, volume, and texture characteristics.
8 band frequency controls- this controls what frequencies get amplified. for choked, glassy treble pass tones, to full range, not too bass or treble heavy, all the way to bass boosted, fuzzy drive.
the crunch switch allows you to get a fuzz distortion texture out of the OD for heavier saturation and sustain.
the octave toggle adds an octave up stage at the input for some gorgeous clang and thrash.
The Middle foot switch toggles between a variable, almost resonant like filter or an active 3 band HM2 style tone control- only works when the screamer side is active. Instantly change between two sets of frequencies.
the left foot switch controls a high headroom, high fidelity clean boost. I like this circuit better than the boost in the OG Palisades.
