UPDATE: With the high tariff rate now being imposed on US builders manufacturing PCBs overseas, it’s unlikely I’ll be producing these again anytime soon. I’m running low on boards, and once they’re gone, that’s it — at least in this form. If you’ve been on the fence, don’t wait. This pedal will serve you faithfully for as long as you need it.
This creation is officially entering its final run- it has been beautiful and there are many of these all over now.
te, desert island dirt box that has everything you need
The current batch features some carefully tuned changes. The Plague has seen the most evolution — it’s been revoiced for more versatility and range. The Screamer and FZ2 sections also received subtle but meaningful tweaks to push the boundaries just a bit further.
When I set out to design this pedal, the goal was simple: create the ultimate desert island dirt box. One pedal that could cover all shades of gain — from clean boost to ripping fuzz, from tight overdrive to full-on distortion.
The Plague was born from the chase to get a cranked amp tone like that of the band dystopia- it always amazed me how much clarity they had for such a low tuning. Truly one of the best guitar tones I have ever heard. Now, I do not know what exactly they used for recording, but this pedal was the closest thing I have ever found to get that tone. A sonic weapon built to cut through the noise of a world gone mad. It fights back against greed, suppression, and exploitation with pure, filthy energy. Its voicing is aggressive, deliberately tuned to strip mud from low-tuned guitars and inject serious clarity and definition into the low end.
The distortion here feels more like a raging amp than a pedal — it nails that high-gain amp response without forcing you to crank your rig to unbearable levels. It features a passive amplifier-style EQ section, which shapes your tone like a real vintage head, not a typical stompbox. Your riffs sound sharper, punchier, and more focused, with none of the mush that often comes from fuzz or other distortions. Every note stands out, yet it retains the weight and body of a full-stack in overdrive.
Next is The Twilight Screamer. It began life as a classic Tube Screamer but quickly veered off the traditional path. It’s been reworked with a mode toggle that shifts between the familiar TS808-style tone and a much heavier, low-end-rich drive that borders on fuzz. It’s especially great for stacking — perfect for tightening up other dirt boxes or amps that get too loose in the lows. It’s smooth, punchy, and incredibly musical.
I have seen so many bands just run an amp and tubescreamer and nothing else. it is that proven.
Finally, the third voice in the trio is based on the legendary FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz — a circuit I’ve always loved for how wild and versatile it is. I didn’t change much here, just nudged it to have its own unique voice.
This fuzz has three distinct voices:
-
The center position gives you a clean, high-headroom boost with active bass and treble controls. It’s transparent but powerful — think full-range preamp with plenty of push.
-
Downward on the switch activates the mid-scooped mode. This is where the real chaos lives — huge, thunderous tones with a strange, almost alien harmonic decay. It’s like lightning trapped in a box.
-
Upward is the mid-boost mode. It’s thicker, warmer, and has a vintage psychedelic richness that’s hard to explain- it makes you feel like you are in some 90s stoner tech noir film. There’s nothing that compares to this fuzz that feels alive — like the tones are breathing and mutating as they fade.
The FZ2 is the most twilight approved circuit there is.

This pedal is the baddest, dirtiest, screamingest, noisemaker that I've ever loved out of the box. The Plague side is perfect. It was essentially the sound I like and have been utilizing for the past several years dimed out. A little fine tuning and it sang. A little more tinkering and it sounded nice with Screamer side. I can't get enough of the Screamer side gain staging with the Plague. The plethora of sounds you can get are just limitless. The FZ2 side is brutal and uncontrollably vivid. I love this pedal very much.
Excellent 3-in-1 pedal! Three very distinct sounding effects, each with tons of tonal control. They stack nicely and really bring out additional dimensions in each other. Huge dynamic range, so you can dial in tasteful or hideous sounds. Tons of options and tons of fun!
