This pedal was designed after I had first discovered the band Fleshwater a huge influence on my sound and music taste for the last two years. Their sound was mesmerizing and was a huge part of the reason I fell into the new wave of alt rock resurgence currently happening. Truly a rabbit hole..

This is the V2 version. Compacted for the smallest pedalboards. knob layout is the same as the larger version. Built with soft touch mechanical bypass switches.

This circuit is one half op amp muff, one half PT2399 chorus.

The op amp muff is a very interesting circuit- it is an op amp fuzz, not at all like the 4 transistor typical muff. It has the spirit of the muff in that it is very versatile, but best known as your smooth, wall of fuzz texture machine. The op amp variant is tighter and lacks the saturation characteristics of the transistor version that can cause it to be too muddy, and get lost in the mix. This one leans more in the fuzz distortion crossover territory.

It has a much more linear (by this I mean, consistent and controllable), and refined, less raw sounding gain structure, that is very similar to rat, but somehow still retains the wall of sound thing that the muff is known for.

it also has a tone bypass, for a more neutral, flat frequency response sound- in this mode, you get a touch extra amplitude as well as there is no volume loss from the passive tone stage.

the chorus- this is the same circuit used in the phonic relapse. I like this chorus circuit because it makes me feel something. It has its own unique voice, like a cloudy memory of a very mystical, and calm, safe space where the weight of the world feels lifted off your body.

The kind of place that lives only in your imagination and sense of nostalgia, not tangible in the material realm, but exists in some other worldly, dream like state of being.

the blend is unique in that it blends 50/50 chorus to fully wet, vibrato. essentially it is a chorus to vibrato blend.

these circuits come together to make the most floaty, fuzz lathen music that allows the pain of existence to seep through sound.
