The Big Muff Pi has taken many forms since its explosive debut in the late ’60s, but for many, the original Triangle Muff (named after the layout of its three control knobs) is still the holy grail. Soaring sustain, bone shaking low end, and smooth, velvet soaring feel. 

The V1 Triangle set the bar for just what fuzz truly meant. 

In twilight fashion, this circuit elevates the original. With massive gain on tap, a smoother volume and sustain sweep, and a tone range that feels perfectly sculpted, this version avoids the icepick highs that plague later variants. Clockwise opens up the highs with clarity and fullness; counter-clockwise unleashes a tidal wave of punishing low-end. It is like unleashing a beast that has been trapped in a dungeon, being awoken by the stomp of a switch.

 A 3-way clipping switch takes the classic formula further: • Vintage mode delivers smooth, compressed sustain with a more nuanced texture, perfect for rhythm playing and softer background fuzz layers • Stock silicon brings that classic, gritty edge, and the most ear pleasing crunch • Open mode removes the diodes entirely for the most raw and explosive response possible. Pushing this circuit into sonic oblivion.
