This unit is a 3 in one combo of Johnny Allen Hendrix's most iconic sounds.

The left side is an octavia, known as a very loud, more sort of fuzz overdrive, this side has a piercing metallic sound that causes chords to clash frequencies resulting in very odd sounding harmonies. You can get real creative and squeeze some wild sounds from this side.

The middle side is the univibe- using a real incandescent lamp. This side is his washy, modulated pulse sound that created a unique ambience to his songs- and symbiotically worked with his feedback in performances like the woodstock star spangled banner, to create a whirlwind of ever changing chaotic aerial feedback.

The univibe was originally intended as a compact electronic circuit emulation of the rotating leslie speakers.

To the right, we have the fuzz face side. I use all silicon because they are far more versatile and modern performing. This side is known for that trumpet, singing, rich velvet like fuzz that hendrix had. Works wonderfully for lead and rhythm. An added bias sweetens the deal for cleaner, more pronounced fuzz, or crumbly, velvet, and squashed fuzz textures.

The man himself is the reason I am around doing what I do today, I very well may have ended up living a normal life and working a normal job had I not jived with the music the way I did as a teenager. His music had a life that no other musician could give me.

It is only right I do a tribute to his sound.
