This pedal is very similar to my HM2+FZ2 except the FZ2 side has the come my fuzznatics... mods and the HM2 is a one knob version, with the one knob controlling the gain.

If desired, a fresh one of these pedals can be built so that the one knob on the HM2 is the volume instead of gain. There are internal trimpots for the HM2s other controls.

Both of these are iconic Boss circuits that were the defining sounds of some of the most important metal bands in history. These two compliment each other greatly. They are nasty, but unique in their own ways.

The HM2 Side is a nasty, filthy, distortion with the tone section being the most renown part. It borders on fuzz, this circuit definitely is not a typical distortion. This circuit is the key to achieving that Swedish Chainsaw black metal tone. There are so many famous bands that used this circuit as their core sound, for the most unmatched, gut wrenching tone.

There is also an HM2 mode switch. One mode has more of a compressed, squashy fuzz like tone, and one has a sharper, more abrasive distortion like sound.

The FZ2 side, is my favorite fuzz circuit that has ever been invented. It is a souped up Univox Super Fuzz, with my bit of nasty mods.

The Octave knob adds a green ringer stage into the octave of the FZ2 for a dual cascaded octave into octave madness. Filthy, abrasive, metallic clanging tones are available from this addition.

The EQ has also been replaced for a different one that allows for control over high, low, and mid frequencies.

This circuit is the sound of one of the heaviest bands in the universe, Electric Wizard. This circuit can be clearly heard as the core sounds for 2 of their greatest albums, Dopethrone, and Come My Fanatics...

This circuit has some sort of magic to it. I am not sure how a fuzz can embody the deep mysteries, emptiness, vastness, and darkness of space, but it does just that.

With an ever evolving cascade of rich harmonies and thundering frequencies, this sound channels the powers of the great beyond.

This circuit is improved as well. In boost mode, you are able to use the EQ section which is not possible with the Behringer version. So, you can dial in a bass boost, a neutral boost, or a treble boost. On top of that, you can use the gain and volume control as well, helping you dial in a clean or dirty boost, at any volume desired.

The HM2 is going in series into the FZ2.
