The Fuzzrite is a vintage fuzz that was developed in Bakersfield, California around 1965 and thought to be in production from 1966 to 1968. This is the twilight, modern built version of that circuit built with quality components, love and care.

This was one of the first circuits I ever built, so it holds special meaning to me.

Built around the same time as the Maestro FZ1 and the Sola Sound Tonebender, this was one of the first fuzz boxes every invented.

This fuzz is a 2 transistor design like the fuzz face, but it is configured completely different, and thus has a much more unique sound to it.

It is a raspy fuzz- spitty with a vintage flavor to it. At the time- this fuzz was the origin of nasty.

The depth control is an interesting one. It sort of works as a gain control, but it seems more like a character control that blends between two distinct fuzz tones.
