With the toggle, you can turn the octave on or off for two completely different fuzz sounds in one box.
The tone control is very useful- counter clockwise creates a very full and warm fuzz with a low end emphasis for smoother and more creamy sounds. Clockwise is a much sharper, brighter fuzz sound with a lot of bite to it.
