INTRODUCTION

this right here is a magnum opus of vintage fuzz.

it is a timeline of all the major fuzzes hendrix used throughout his career.

Basically, that black knob is a 4 way switch that toggles between 4 completely independent fuzz circuits.

it looks more complex than it is.

top row of knobs is the fuzz/gain control.

the bottom row of knobs is the bias control.

the middle row is exempt from these. that bottom knob on the middle row is the master volume.

the top knob is the mode selector.

MODE 1- fuzz face. left set of knobs.

MODE 2- axis fuzz, 2nd to left set of knobs

MODE 3- octavia. 2nd to right set of knobs.

MODE 4- band of gypsys fuzz. right set of knobs.

the toggles- left toggle toggles the output buffer. does not seem to do much but can help if you have impedances problems with whatever is after this pedal.

right toggle- frequency mode. middle is brightest, cleanest, lowest gain, lowest low end.

I do not recall which is left or right. I just know one is overload- most bass, most fuzz, most low end, one is normal, what you would expect from a fuzz. well rounded freq response.
