the bluesbreaker

This circuit feels the most natural, it has a very light character to it. This is beneficial for when you want your sound to feel like your guitar and amp- not the pedal you are using. It also stacks wonderfully due to how little it colors. I personally enjoy using this circuit as a cleaner boost, to enhance the existing tone and bring out the little nuances that are otherwise unheard. It generally excels at making your existing sound better.

Crank this side up for a really glassy, cutting sustain.

then- TS808 Tube Screamer.

This is where things tighten up, the top midrange steps forward, and suddenly your guitar feels more alive and forward shifted. It pushes the amp harder, with that unmistakable twang and upper-mid bite. Single coils become snappy and sing with soul, humbuckers brighter with a spank to it that will have you slapping the guitar strings to hear that chime. Without a doubt, the most used overdrive out there.

Highly sought after as a tool to tighten up muddy/loose/flubby amps and pedals. Works amazing as a tool to take a dirty channel amplifier that just needs a touch of tightening up, or adding to a fuzz to create beautiful fuzz overdrive mixtures.

lastly, the "k" overdrive. My personal favorite

Bright, glassy, and unapologetically loud, this circuit is the confident, outspoken, and well composed one in the room. The headroom on this circuit is massive, giving your tone space to breathe like it has a second set of lungs. Used as a clean boost, it brings out little tonal qualities you didn’t know your gear had. But dial in some gain, and it gets hot. 

One of my favorite tones is using this with tube amp distortion. It is heaven.

I use this circuit for literally everything. Jazz, blues, Metal, alt rock- just depending on how you use it, it can cover sosososo much ground.

VARIANTS

Ancient Curse-

This one has slight mods on the breaker and screamer side. The screamer side has a touch more fullness to it, and the breaker side has a bit more volume available.

Stock-

stock comes wired in series blues->screamer->"k" with soft touch, true bypass relay based switching.

6 Jack version

Each circuit has its own set of inputs and outputs, so you can wire it however you want into your setup. You can get creative and have each in very different spots of your signal chain.

please note that to run all 3 overdrives series, the circuits need to be patched with cables.

from right to left- blues in, blues out. scream in, scream out. K in, K out.

This version used mechanical bypass switches.
